LATE DR. ALEX C. ENELIDr. Alexander Eneli, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, is head of obstetrics and Gynecology. He qualified as a Medical Doctor in 1964, from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
After qualifying, he acquired experience working in various hospitals in Britain, among them, hackney Hospitals in London, Selly /Oak and Dudley Road Women's Hospital, Birmingham women's Hospital as well as Maternity and General Hospital, Here fold. In 1971, he obtained his specialist degree - Member of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (MRCOG), and returned to Nigeria. Shortly after, he joined the Lagos University Teaching Hospital as a Senior Registrar, later becoming Consultant and Lecture in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Eneli was awarded Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons in 1975, and later that same year, Fellowship of the Medical College of Surgeons in 1975, and later that same year, Fellowship of the Medical College of obstetrics and gynecology of Nigeria. In 1984, he was honored with Fellowship of the Royal College of obstetrics and Gynecology and four years later was admitted Fellow of the international College of Surgeons. In spite of his busy schedule, Dr. Eneli is sociable. He is a member of the Argonauts Society of Nigeria, Ikoyi Club 1938. He is also Patron of the Red Cross Society of All Saints Church, Surulere. He is married and has five children.
